Important Changes to AMTA Member Liability Insurance Program
The AMTA is dedicated to serving its members and improving the value of its insurance benefits. During the past year, AMTA has worked with the insurance provider, Healthcare Providers Service Organization (HPSO), to:

Change the modality exclusions definition to make it consistent with most state and local regulatory boards, so it's more flexible as the profession changes and new modalities and practices emerge.

Add coverage for massage therapy goods or items manufactured, modified or sold by an insured AMTA member;

Extend protection to members who also provide esthetic services (subject to exclusions); and
-
Provide interim coverage to members with employees for the 2007 policy period and are working with HPSO to provide coverage options for members with employees in the 2008 policy period.

What if you could earn continuing education (CE) hours at home or between client visits—virtually any time that’s convenient? AMTA Online Training gives you convenient access to the same level of continuing education that AMTA has long been known for.
AMTA has a new Volunteer Database to match members with available volunteer opportunities.

- Do you have as little as a few hours each year to give?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, visit the AMTA Volunteer Center. You will need to register the first time that you use the database. If you have already registered, click the log in tab at the top of the page to take advantage of all of the Volunteer Database's features. Post your resume, search available volunteer opportunities or both! You'll meet great people, have fun, and learn about yourself while volunteering.
