Walk Against Hunger
Great job by all who participated in the Walk Against Hunger on May 4th! Under Captain Quinn and the able leadership of Nikki Arel, Julie Olson-Raymond, and Rocky Perez, we had ten chairs going (raising $307 that day) with 18 massage therapists as well as a sizable Walk Team contingent. With the contributions from our Chapter meeting, Walk Team pledges and the chair massage, the AMTA-CT Chapter donated $3,102. Congrats to our team!
September 6th and 7th, 2008
Currently, the next big event for CSMT is the Women’s Health Expo in September. Used as a primary fundraiser for our charity work, we will be providing chair massage at this two day event. Long days at this event require that we have lots of therapist participating. Last year we raised over $1,500.00 using a good natured competition between event days. Results of the competition found Deby Van Ohlen’s Sunday group out-raising Lee Stang’s Saturday group by a few dollars! So the gauntlet has been laid down. Come on out, market your business, enjoy the company of CSMT members, and raise monies for a good cause. It is about giving back. Let’s do it in a big way!
