2008 AMTA CT SPORTS TEAM SCHEDULE

Petit Foundation Event added to Sports Team Schedule

July 20 the Sports Massage Team will be in Plainville to provide massage at the first, hopefully, annual Petit Foundation Road Race. This race is being organized to support Plainville Physician Dr. William Petit Jr. (a true advocate of massage) and honor his wife, Jennifer Hawke Petit and daughters Haley and Michaela. The three were killed July 23 2007 during a home invasion. The Foundation has been established in order to support the efforts of these three remarkable women. Funds will be used to support the MS Society, and to provide scholarships in Haley and Michaela’s names.

Our Sports Massage Team with join therapists from Bridges To Health Therapeutic Massage Center and Body Balance Therapeutic Massage to provide both pre and post event massage. We are expecting over 2000 runners and 100’s of walkers. We are enlisting the help of “Red Shirt” Team members only and are hoping to have 20 tables working.
