Richard Testa

Director, Sports Massage Team

Richard, a licensed Massage Therapist, graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in August 1989 and has been an instructor there since 1992. He is trained in Myofascial Release, Functional and Orthopedic Assessment, Pain Management and Clinical Sports injuries. He is an American Massage Therapy Association's Event Sports Massage Specialist.

Richard has provided sports massage at the:

  • 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece
  • 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • 1996 Centennial Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Boston Marathon 20+ years
  • Volvo Tennis Tournament
  • Hartford Marathon 20+ years

Member of the American Massage Therapy Association

  • 2008 - present, Co-Director AMTA, Connecticut Chapter Sports Massage Team
  • 2000-2004 AMTA, Connecticut Chapter Sports Massage Team Director
  • 2001-2003 Connecticut Chapter Coordinator AMTA, MERT
