Volunteer Application (not here yet!)
In addition to helping on our various committees, why not consider running in the next election for a seat on the Board, Directorship of a Committee, or to be a Delegate/Alternate for at the National Convention?
For a list of Officer and Delegate/Alternate job descriptions, and a Candidate Eligibility Form, please look here.
Ambassadors are volunteers who call new members in their geographical area, whenever possible, to thank them for joining, tell them about our chapter, invite them to the next meeting, give them information on how to contact the CT Chapter website, and answer questions about AMTA or the CT Chapter. Ambassadors do not need to know all the answers, they can direct the new member to a Board Member who can help them. The committee members to go as many AMTA meetings as possible to meet the people that they contacted and help them to network with others in their area. How much time will it take? Depending on how many new members we have in your area, on any given month you will be calling four people at the most. Some months you may not have anyone in your area to call. It also depends on how many Ambassadors are in your area and the area where the new members live. The more Ambassadors there are the fewer calls you will be making, unless you specifically ask for more. Some Ambassadors with cell phones are willing to call outside of their area if necessary. How do I get involved? • Send an email to Maureen • Talk to Maureen at a chapter meeting. You will be asked to complete the Ambassador Program form where you list your name, email address, phone number. There will be a list of towns grouped by county. You just check any town in CT that you are willing to call. Questions/Suggestions/Feedback If you have questions, suggestions, or feedback for this committee, please feel free to contact Peter. It is through your feedback that we improve. |
